Main Bar & Lounge

The blue lapis lazuli stone bar is a centre piece jewel in Gilgamesh's aesthetic crown. This potentially record-breaking shrine to cultured drinking (as the longest bar in the world) was handcrafted in India by a 10,000 strong team, who are responsible for nearly all of the fittings throughout the building.

At Gilgamesh, the emphasis is on comfort, large cushioned horse shoe banquet seating, with soft silk pillows for lounging. An innovative lighting system gives an ambient feel, with over 250 colours subtly changing to reflect the mood. You won't be under glaring spotlights nor will you be struggling to read the menu, especially as the 40ft high room has a retractable roof which would heighten any visit to Gilgamesh, especially on a glorious summer's day. Even with the roof back, and the sunlight pouring in, heating is controlled to give the guest optimum comfort, utilising a specially designed radiant heating system that will leave you glowing and never uncomfortable.

Further stimulating the senses and adding to the Gilgamesh experience is the music, created by our in-house team of World Music specialists, guest djs include Gaudi, Leomeo, Zohar and U-Cef. Other areas such as the Babylon Lounge play more commercial music with a dance atmosphere in mind.
