Gilgamesh

At Gilgamesh, the emphasis is on comfort, large cushioned horse shoe banquet seating, with soft silk pillows for lounging. An innovative lighting system gives an ambient feel, with over 250 colours subtly changing to reflect the mood.

The Tea House

The Tea House is a light and airy room with floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the bustle of Camden.

Main Restaurant

Every chair, every table has been hand-carved to precision to tell the story of Gilgamesh. The marble pillars are inlaid with Lapis and Mother of Pearl.

About Us

In June 2006, Pan-Asian restaurant Gilgamesh opened in the heart of Camden Stables Market, North London, offering a unique Eastern gastronomic and nightlife experience. The 200 cover restaurant features a fully retractable roof, a bar and lounge area, several private events spaces, Gilgamesh’s Studio nightclub and the Ketel One 80 Bar.

Gilgamesh is proud to be home to one of London’s largest event spaces, the Gilgamesh Studio. Located above the restaurant, the impressive event space has a capacity of 500 standing and 300 seated. On Friday and Saturday nights the Studio nightclub is open to customers looking to continue the party after dinner, but during the week it is popular for private hire.

FAQ

  • For dinner the dress code is smart / casual.
    For the night club the dress code is smart - no trainers and no sportswear

  • if you are dining from a set menu there is no charge for bringing in your own cake.
    If you are not dining from a set menu the charge is £20.

  • We do have an in-house pastry chef who can bake you a cake. Please contact reservations for more information.

  • Yes all our meat is Halal

  • You can park in the car park where you can access the rear of the restaurant. This car park is free after 6.30pm.

  • Camden Town and Chalk Farm Underground

  • On Sunday – Thursdays the bar works on a first come first serve basis.
    For entry on a Friday and Saturday please contact the reservations department.

  • There is no age limit for the restaurant and bar.
    The age limit for the night club 21.

  • Approximately 10pm-2am on Fridays and Saturdays

  • Access to the nightclub is not included when hiring a private event space. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our events team who will discuss the various options for your evening with you.

  • Yes of course, however they will need to be supervised by a responsible adult.
